[THE POWER PULSE] Let’s Retire the Word “Lucky” from Your Vocabulary

Hey, Powerhouse,

I was talking to a client the other day, and she said something that stopped me in my tracks:

“I was lucky to get this opportunity.”

And I had to pause her.

You weren’t lucky.
You were prepared. You delivered. You positioned yourself.

Here’s what happens when you say “I got lucky” instead of “I earned this”:

❌ You shrink your own power.
❌ You make your success sound accidental.
❌ You minimize your expertise and effort.

Instead, say:

🔥 I was the right person for this because I prepared for it.
🔥 I made this happen by showing up and delivering.
🔥 I put myself in the right rooms to be seen for this opportunity.

Words matter. Speak about yourself like the powerful, capable leader you are.

Harness YOUR power,
